Peace of Mind – The Woodie Jessee Story

Apr 7, 2015 | Claims Stories, Cornerstone

Cornerstone Benefits Management launched the first video in a series of documentary short films. The films feature testimonials from group plan participants and beneficiaries who detail their claim experience with Cornerstone. The first film in the series, produced by Path Less Traveled Films, Ltd., features Locomotive Engineer Woodie Jessee, a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen, a division of the Rail Conference of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters (IBT). Jessee is from La Vernia, Texas and is a member of BLET Division 197.

Peace of Mind – The Woodie Jessee Story chronicles his story and describes how receiving benefits from Cornerstone allowed him to continue to provide the same lifestyle his family was accustomed to while he recovered from his injury. He sustained an injury that prevented him from working as a Locomotive Engineer. The film takes the viewer into the lives of Woodie and his family as he describes in detail the comprehensive benefits and exemplary customer service provided by Cornerstone.

Cornerstone Benefits Management takes great pride in providing voluntary Disability, Life and AD&D group insurance plans for railroad union members. By offering benefit plans that fill in the gaps of agreement coverage, Cornerstone gives plan participants the opportunity to maintain their standard of living and quality of life. Cornerstone enjoys every opportunity to support the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen. As these films are released, it is our hope that they will provide another source of information for rail labor and expose many more members to the available voluntary benefits their union provides.
